Expectations & The Cold Hard TRUTH

Even the best most respected and educated parts of the fitness community who teach and inform people for livings withhold or passively hold the truth about training that almost no one seems to focus on. The Truth is Genetics really are everything and no matter what you do it'll never be as effective as good genetics. No dancing around it that's just how it is, it sucks for the most part even if you are gifted because you'll never be able to relate to the average lifter and expectations for you will forever be high so if you bench 500 sexy lbs then you better be warming up with 405lbs as butter weight otherwise nobody will understand why someone so strong can't exhibit that strength 24/7. Well that's some first world problem type stuff compared to poverty bench and poverty everything cause your parents host a long ling of scrawny weak genes so what do you do if you're unlucky enough to not be gifted. First don't assume you aren't because the skills and adaptations for strength are a long term process and there's plenty a people who don't get massive PR's in their novice stage but make consistent slow progress until they tortoise their way past those damn rabbit assholes because slow and steady is how you win a long term game. The other things you'll want to investigate in further is your diet/bulk, sleep/recover, exercise selection and training modalities. If you optimize your diet for healthy foods which meet your macro goals of gaining weight slowly you'll put on more muscle. I've said it before I'll say it again over 9000 times if I have to SLEEP IS KING, sleep is the best for recovery and optimizing recovery is the best thing a natty lifter can do especially once the diet and training is integrated. Choose exercises that feel good, break down muscles in a non jeopardizing way for your ligaments and tendons (ie instead of straight bar curls try bayesian nunez style cable curls sounds crazy but its just a one handed cable curl) and take advantage of dif rep/set schemes and periodization. You do all these and all you can to have all your weaknesses built up and you'll get stronger, probably never catch up with the freaks or break world records but you'll at least stand a chance to win competitions or reach your genetic potential.

Put in the work and you'll earn the rewards
